Wondering where will I take this? I know it's not only what I wanted to do but what I have to do. All my life I have not wanted to work in an office endlessly taking care of details and documents. What I've always wanted is to work for myself. Somehow. Now I am.
As a little kid I took planting classes at New York Botanical Gardens. At a very impressionable age I learned how all living things need fresh air and room to grow. Without those basic needs, no way can you thrive. I've been overwhelmingly stifled sitting at a perfectly comfortable cubicle. I kept making errors, unable to produce anything of value. How different when I'm building things with plants - I feel competent, completely engaged, and the soil & moss smell good, then all I need is a drink of water to be happy.
